We hope you like the look and feel of our newsletter? Many people like reading through our back issues, and often times email us to ask where they can get a copy of a certain issue we did over the years. We first started publishing OIO online (before that we had a printed version) way back in 1997. As I started working on this issue I found an old article we did about free advertising, and other free tools online that can help with your home biz. It was FULL of great information, and it dawned on me that many of our readers may not have yet seen it. So, I pulled it out, dusted it off, updated it, and included it for you in this issue. I think you may well get some great tips from it!
I know that there are Many folks that really struggle with trying to make money online. There are several ways you can do it. I have found that what normally works best for most of us is to just keep it simple. Remember you don't have to be a high-tech wiz to earn some real money on the net. Many of the top earners online are not too techno savvy. While I do have a degree in electronics, there are MANY things about the Internet and computers that I don't understand (nor do I care to learn them). There are too many guys that know how to do that stuff that you can hire cheap.
I'm often reminded of the Henry Ford story. Perhaps you are aware that during World War 1 a Chicago newspaper was sued by Ford for labeling him an “ignorant pacifist' in their publication. The paper's attorneys decided to put Ford on the stand and prove the statement by asking him a series of questions.
They drilled Ford with questions like “How many soldiers did the British send over to put down the rebellion of 1776?” In answer to that particular question Ford replied, “I do not know the exact number of soldiers the British sent over, but I have heard that it was a considerably larger number than ever went back.”
The questions went on with mathematics, and other such things that Ford could not answer. Finally, when he tired of their questions he stated, “If I should really WANT to answer the foolish question you just asked, or any of the other questions you have been asking me, let me remind you that I have a row of electric push-buttons on my desk, and by pushing the right button, I can summon to my aid men who can answer ANY question I desire to ask concerning the business I am devoting most of my efforts. Now, will you kindly tell me WHY I should clutter up my mind with general knowledge for the purpose of being able to answer questions when I have men around me who can supply any knowledge I require?”
You can apply the same positioning to your own business. You might not have the same type of buttons on your desk in front of you, but you can surely push your PC or MAC buttons and find the help you need.

Can I Really Make Money Online?
This is a question I get asked all the time. It seems like everyone wants to earn online income, yet very few are doing it! When you do find a formula that works for you, you wonder why it was ever so hard. In other words, those of us who are earning large online incomes, can not believe that everyone hasn't figured it out yet! In this article, right here, right now, I am going to share secrets with you that can turn your online failure into a HUGE SUCCESS!
First - the number one problem I see folks making online, and this is a big one!
1) They try to build their online business solely on FREE STUFF! You know what I mean, FREE ADS, FREE WEB SITES, FFA PAGES and on and on and on. FREE, FREE, FREE!
One BIG factor has escaped their notice - IF NOBODY HAS TO PAY FOR ANYTHING, HOW WILL ANYONE MAKE ANY MONEY?
While not all FREE STUFF is an online failure, some of it is a complete waste of time! Free web space for instance, if you are trying to build a serious business from FREEYELLOW.com or more likely:

IT WILL NOT WORK. Who in their right mind would want to do business with you if that is your only address? That is why it is a good idea to have your own Domain Name, and spend a little money to get a decent server or host!!!!!

FREE ADS
Free ads are OK, and you should spend a LITTLE TIME posting a few (now days there are many who have figured out how to make money with Craigs list – I have tried without much success – mostly cause I didn't have the time to devote). JUST DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO BE YOUR ONLY HOPE FOR ONLINE INCOME.
I was reading an article today (back in 99) from Jim Daniels of JDD publishing, he mentioned that when he first started, he ran a few ads in some ezines (online publications) and his business got off to a fast start. I thought to myself, THAT IS JUST WHAT I DID! IT WORKED! For me and Jim and I'm sure countless others. We PAID to run some ads, and our online business just blossomed from there!
FREE is OK, but many times you get what you pay for! How much time do you spend searching through the FREE ads for something to purchase. If you're like most folks, probably not much! But, if you have been online a while, you no doubt have a few favorite email newsletters or ezines that you enjoy! If you're like me, you probably even read the classified ads in them! OTHER FOLKS DO TO, so PAY to do some advertising and watch your online business GROW! (update – Solo Ads are MUCH better)
2) The second big problem I see, is that folks who do figure out the first step - PAY FOR SOME ADS, have not figured out how to write a good ad. There are all kinds of good articles and other info (much of it free, but the better stuff you will have to pay for) on copy writing - get good at the craft or hire someone to do it for you!
3) Finally another common mistake I see (and this is a HUGE one), is that folks are advertising something that is just not any good. Many concentrate on programs that will only pay them $10 or $15 when they do make a sale. Why not focus the same amount of time and energy on something that will pay you $350 or $864 per sale. You could spend the same amount of time and money promoting it, yet when you do make a sale, it adds up in COLD, HARD, CASH. (with our referral program you can earn up to $700)

Do you realize that this is the first time that I've spent money on a program that really works ? Do you know what's really sad about that ? I used to think it was just me ! What an eye opener !

I NEVER ASK FOR THEM, THEY JUST COME!
So here is the tip. If you have an affiliate plan (and if not, you should consider it ASAP) Treat them right. Pay them quickly and pay them well! Many marketers have not figured that out yet. I've even read where some claim that if they start an affiliate plan it would cause them to lose money - HOGWASH! If you have a great product or service, you MUST have an aff plan! Any sales you get from your affiliates will be sales you would NOT have received otherwise. SO, Keep Them Happy!!!
The best and simplest way to start your own affiliate program is with a Brilliant piece of software called RAP (Rapid Action Profits). Check it out now, and thank me later. Get the company to install it on a server for you if you don't have experience with scripts. I installed it myself, but I have dealt with scripts for years. They do offer a great manual that will walk you through the process.
With RAP you don't have to worry about running pay roll (which can be a real chore), since their commissions are deposited directly into their Pay Pal accounts immediately! It offers a simple delivery system for your digital products, and with a simple add-on can even be used to run a membership site.

Develop Multiple Income Streams NOW!
I've been a HUGE fan of multiple income streams, and I was preaching that before it ever became a catch-praise on the net (I may have also been the first one to develop an email instruction course – at least I had never seen one using a follow-up responder until I did one back in 97)!
Some have criticized me for doing a few different things (you won't ever see me sending out the flavor of the week like so many online marketers do – they all send you the same offer on the same day of the latest greatest product launch) over the years. However, most of the things I get involved with I WORK them! I don't skip to something new each month, and that is a failing I see in a LOT of home biz folks. Sure, if what you are doing is just not working, look for something that will work for you – BUT, you are going to have to stick it out with something.
You can't get multiple income streams going all at once. True, with the net you can do it more quickly than ever before in history, but you MUST get something going good and feed it for awhile before it will continue on its own. With Pay Per Click campaigns it is possible to get something going on auto pilot (as long as you keep your ads going), but you DO have to get it going. If you don't already have a HUGE list, it will take some time to start growing one.
If you have been on my list for any time at all, you will know that for the last several years (since 2004) we have been offering a course on how to trade the Index. I say this on my Thursday night conference calls all the time, and I'll say it again here – I can't think of ANYTHING that can be a better income stream for you than trading. Especially index trading! It does not matter what the economy is doing, if anyone likes you or hires you or ANYTHING other than your ability to see and click your mouse at the right time. If you learn how to do that there is NO LIMIT to the income you can earn!
What else could you get into that you can honestly say that about? I don't know of anything. Many of our traders have learned how to make their trading income tax-free if they live in the USA. We even have several members who are learning to do simple real estate transactions in their tax-free accounts.
Imagine doing a deal that you earn from $10,000 to $30,000 on inside of your tax-free account. NOW, you can take that money and learn to trade the index, and keep all of your trading income Tax-free! What other streams of income do I have (and more importantly that you could create)? What about picking out affiliate products that you like and blogging about them. There is a biz you can set up for NOTHING. You will have to do some leg work, and you might want to do some PPC or other forms of advertising to get folks to your blog.
Here is a great tip for you – Article Marketing. You don't have to be Tom Clancy to write a good article. If you can put a few words together about your favorite subject or product, you can slowly develop links all over the net back to your site and/or blog via your author resource box at the end of your articles. Click on the link above to find an excellent service for blasting your articles out to the masses. You can do it manually if you just don't have the funds, but if you can afford the service it will SPEED up your article marketing process. In future issues of OIO we will cover MUCH more in-depth information on how to use articles to drive traffic to your site and set yourself up as an expert on your subject matter. Don't miss it!
Heck, you can even get TONS of articles at the various directories out there, and use them on your site, newsletter or blog. Check out my articles here. Just write a review and post other content related to your subject on your blog, and it could be a BIG hit for you. Don't stop there, keep going and find other sources of income.

Talk radio is a HUGE market and getting bigger. You might just start a new career by getting on these shows. FREE MARKETING TOOL
I LOVE free tools, always have! (In our index trading course we show our students where to get all the tools they will ever need - FREE.) There are some really good ones out there, and in this issue I want to share a new tool with you that can really help you get a LOT more out of your Pay Per Click campaigns (if you don't know much about PPC visit here to learn more – we will have more info too in futures issues – stay tuned).
Sooner or later we all turn to PPC (mostly Google Adwords – but there are other PPCs – see link above) to test an offer or as an ongoing campaign to drive traffic to our sites.
The real key to using PPC effectively is to bid on keywords that don't cost you a lot of money. Let's say you find 1,000 keywords that each send you one visitor a day for 5 cents a click (they should be targeted visitors, so the rare keywords should be connected to your offer – you just want ones that not too many folks are bidding on). That would be MUCH better than paying $5 a click for the top keywords that everyone is fighting over (of course, if you are making enough money, later you might want to do that too). In the first case you got 1,000 visitors to your site, in the later example you only got 50 visitors for the same $50. Which one would you rather have?
If you find the right combination you can just turn up the volume (by raising your daily limits) and run up your sales! It is an art form that is worth your time to get good at, and this tool can speed things up for you. It really can give you an unfair advantage over your competition.
